Advisory for renewable energy transactions
Gridland is a discreet advisory firm for transactions involving energy projects, land and other assets across the CEE and DACH regions.
Why Gridland
Energy markets change every month — grid connection terms, land prices, business models and regulation shift, as does investors' appetite for risk. We track these changes closely and put them to work for our clients — whether you're selling land, a project or other assets, or looking for a profitable investment opportunity.
We track the development of energy commodity prices, regulation and grid capacity across the CEE and DACH regions — we know what's a real offer and what's just wishful thinking.
Sensitive business information stays between the parties involved. We negotiate with investors on the basis of NDAs and verified creditworthiness.
From preparing materials through partner selection to signing, we handle the legal, technical and commercial details on the client's behalf.
Process
We analyse the project, prepare a data sheet and set a realistic price range.
We approach vetted investors and interested parties who match the project's profile.
We negotiate terms and any follow-on steps — earn-outs, options and supplementary conditions.
We guide the client through legal and technical review all the way to signing and settlement.
Footprint
We operate in the CEE countries — Czechia and Slovakia — and in the DACH region, namely Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Grid connection terms and regulation differ significantly between the regions, even though their markets and transmission grids are interconnected.
Czechia · Slovakia · Bulgaria
A high share of industry, rising energy consumption and new legislation give the region potential for a dynamic market — alongside project sales and acquisitions, we also handle PPAs here.
Austria · Germany · Switzerland
A markedly more fragmented market with far more distribution companies than in CEE — here we have a network of vetted investors as well as selected land plots.
BESS · PPA · Cross-border electricity trading
The CEE and DACH markets are genuinely connected through cross-border allocation of transmission capacity and shared electricity trading (market coupling) — BESS projects and PPA contracts operate within this environment, taking advantage of the differences between markets. We have experience in project engineering, know the permitting and grid-connection processes including realistic timeframes, and maintain contacts with aggregators, energy traders and distribution system operators.
